Therapeutic exercise sessions may include exercises to facilitate such motor skills as: head control, reaching, rolling, creeping, crawling, sitting, standing and walking. During critical growth periods the therapist is also concerned with posture, proper positioning and prevention of deformity.
The techniques used include relaxation of abnormal tone, facilitation of righting and equilibrium reactions, strengthening of weak musculature and integration of proper movement sequences.
